### Context
You emerge from the craft to find yourself in a clearing in the middle of what appears to be a forest. 
In the far edge of the clearing, you see a formation of small monoliths. The trees appear menacing, or strange to say the least. Their bark is jutting out at sections as though the trees decided to wear multiple layers of it but left midway. As the local star walks across the sky, you can see some mountains in the near distance.
You think over what to do next. You could stop here for now and work on building your base, or you could choose to go over to the forest and do a bit of exploration. Which option would be better befitting the pioneer spirit? That’s for You to decide.
# Option 1.1: Build a Base
Deciding to set up you base; you cautiously make your way to the edge of the forest. The trees appear less sinister but somehow more so at the same time now, with the branches at parts intermingling in such a way that you can’t help but wonder whether it’s a single organism. No fauna can be seen or even heard nearby, and for that matter no other flora either. Only winding and weaving layers of the same trees as far as the eye can see.

**Found:** Wood

To set up a base you will need wood, and for that you make your way back to the craft. After fumbling around the storage room for a while, you find what you were looking for: The Resource Collector bot – Woodcutter Edition. Neatly packaged, it’s in pristine condition, but disassembled all the same. 

**Challenge:** Build Woodcutter-bot

**Reward(s):** +1 Hardware

Having successfully assembled the bot without maiming yourself in the process, you now have to set up it’s AI configuration. Alternatively, you see some other parts in your storage, which you can use to set up a small mechanical unit instead.

# Option 1.2: Explore Forest
Having decided to explore the forest instead, you go back to the craft to get the hand-nav.

**Acquired** Handheld-nav.

Turning the nav on, you watch as the screen blinks twice and then displays: ‘Please install the latest version of Impossible-nav’. You go over to the main console of the craft and start setting up the installation process.

**Challenge:** Install latest version of Impossible-nav on the Handheld-nav

**Reward(s):** +1 Software; Unlocks Exploration

You must now decide what to do. You can go in search of food or try to find a source of water instead (or an alternative to it, if possible), your storages will only last so long after all… Or you may want to just explore the forest a little. Whatever you choose, at least you have your trusty nav to guide you!
